Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a Learning Specialist to join our expanding Learning & Organizational Development/HR team in Phoenix, AZ!

 

This is a Monday-Friday hybrid position with four days remote and one day weekly on-site at our Administrative Headquarters in North Phoenix (I-17/Dunlap). 

 

The Learning Specialist role is responsible for developing and delivering high quality learning experiences to a variety of audiences in a variety of modalities. This position forms partnerships within the organization to consult and collaborate on learning opportunities and evaluation. The role requires someone who is positive, enthusiastic, enjoys engaging learners and facilitating content, and is never afraid of a challenge!

What You'll Do:

 

Essential responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough Needs Analysis with stakeholders to determine learning needs and skill gaps.
  • Use instructional design best practices and andragogical principles to build and maintain learning content (microlearnings, courses, workshops, webinars, etc.) that aligns with strategic learning objectives.
  • Facilitate online and in-person learning sessions with confidence and design complementary learning collateral.
  • Consult with internal subject-matter experts and stakeholders to build thoughtful and impactful onboarding programs.
  • Measure and evaluate learning outcomes and content effectiveness. Share data with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Audit learning content at a regular cadence to ensure accuracy and alignment with the College’s goals.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with others in Human Resources to solve problems and proactively approach challenges.

What We Need From You:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with a Learning & Development department
  • Expertise in content development for learning programs, in-person and online (eLearning)
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency with Articulate 360, including Storyline or a similar product
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience creating and editing video content
