Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our growing Financial Aid Team! 

 

This position offers a Monday - Friday hybrid schedule with 2 days in-office (I-17/Dunlap in North Phoenix) and 3 days working from home.

What You'll Do:

The Quality Assurance (“QA”) Specialist is responsible for reviewing student Financial Aid (“FA”) files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies. In addition, this role works directly with campuses and the centralized service team to resolve file rejects and exceptions that prevent aid from processing.

 

  • Provide technical financial aid guidance to campus and centralized financial aid teams via the file review process to ensure students are properly packaged and that proper documentation is on file to resolve verification, c-codes, conflicting information, etc.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies via the file review process.
  • Monitor and resolve FA exceptions to ensure that aid is packaged properly, originates, and disburses in a timely manner.
  • Identifies training opportunities through the file review process and partners with leaders to proactively address trends.
  • Partner with campus and centralized team members to provide QA guidance as needed.
  • Respond to assigned FA Help Desk requests within the service level agreement.
  • Collaborates with the Home Office Director of Financial Aid to coordinate, prepare, and organize data and records for the annual compliance audit.
  • Maintain the privacy of student data.
  • Consistently meets assigned productivity goals.

What We Need From You:

To perform this job successfully, an applicant must have professional demeanor, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in Title IV aid administration.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion dealing with confidential information.
  • Effective communication with the ability to deliver complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
